    Take a Shower!

If you are camping in Zion National Park you may want/need to take a shower. Always an issue of trying to find a nice clean place. The place I use to go to in Springdale no longer offers showers to the public. I checked with the local outdoor store and they gave me a few options. One place is being remodeled.

The second one is at the Zion Mountain School. We found out had lost their hot water heater the day before and it was not fixed. Our group was desperate for a shower so we asked if there was cold water. There was and still charged us $2.50 for the shower. Normally $5 if there is hot water.

Good to know you can get a shower.

Springdale is the gateway to Zion National Park, since it is nestled at the west entrance. Zion National Park is a beautiful park showing diverse habitats and fantastic canyons formed by the Virgin River.

Activities for the more active include: hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking/cycling, rock climbing, tubing (with an inner tube on the Virgin River), and fishing (poor but permitted with a Utah fishing license).

Hike! Zion National Park offers some of the best hiking trails for any level of ability. This photo is from the Hidden Canyon Trail - what you can't see is the shear drop-off - must be a sure-footed hiker!

Zion Park Boulevard has a variety of shops catering to the tourist trade, several restaurants, hotels, and a few historic buildings. A pleasant place to take a walk and relax after a day at Zion.
