We did a short hike up to Emerald Pools. It's quite steep and not suitable for disabled.
    Just gorgeous scenery.

At the end of the riverside walk serious hiker like to wade through the river to continue their hike to the narrows. It was not advisable on the day we visited though because rain causes flash floods

This scoured lump of sandstone guards the east entrance to the park. It rises 1000 feet above the surrounding plateau.

Actually, I don't know that this will ever be a true arch because the hillside behind this formtion is very thick and I doubt it will erode all the way through.

Coming in at 6,545 feet The Watchman guards the southern gate to Zion National Park. I believe that this photo of The Watchman was taken from the visitor's center parking lot.

    Hike away!

The lower-, middle- and upperpools are classified as a fairly easy walk. I found the last part, from the middle to the upper pool rather strenuous. It is a great walk with great views, so do try it!

This is about the best view you will get of the Zion Canyon Valley off Route 9. To get closer pictures than this, you must take the shuttle onto the restricted road.

The Zion Tunnel goes through the east side of Zion Canyon. The tunnel goes over 1 mile. It gets very dark when you get towards the center of the tunnel.
