Drive to Stowe and check out the Ben and Jerry's Icecream factory. You can take the factory tour but be sure to check their website for the tour times. They have a great shop with lots of cool t-shirts. You can also get your favorite treat from the scoop shop.

These folks will provide you with a canoe or kayak for traveling the Lamoille river on a tour of 3 to 12 miles in length. The water is very flat through this area, so it's good for inexperienced paddlers. Canoes are $25 per person and kayaks are $30-40 dollars.

This is the most delicious restaurant! it's actually in smugglers notch, very close to the ski resorts.
the place is cozy and wooden, with a fireplace. There is a wide variety of food, which is why we chose it. I've got a big family with tastes ranging from vegan to steak-and potatoes, and this place has something for everyone. it's soo yummy, everything tastes home cooked!
Favorite Dish: the desserts are really good!

Don't bother going to the shoppes at Essex. The movie cinemas looked old and run down. Not very many stores and the ones that had weren't that great. It might be good shopping for the area but if you are used to big city shopping don't bother going there.
