Very pleasant place for a tasty lunch. Good evening meals too but to me the setting says lunch spot.
Tomato basil parmesan soup -- so thick you will think they gave you pasta sauce instead of soup, but it is yummy anyway. Get it with a small house salad with maple dressing -- double yum, yum. Leave a Comment

Down in Frog Hollow this is a good place for a soup, sandwich, and/or salad lunch. The colors are bright and the style is no fuss.
The Berber, salmon on a fresh baugette with lettuce and tomato. I order it without the African spices and garlic herb mayo but you go for it. Middlebury is full of "grab & go" options. If you are looking for something sweet then the Otter Creek Bakery is your best bet. Their sandwiches are fine too.

They call this a museum restaurant. Lots of pictures and treasures relating to the town and college that probably were picked up at auctions and estate sales over many years. The salad bar, or rather part of the large selection of items, is situated in a 1921 mahogany Hackercraft runaboat. Food is basic steak, seafood, chicken. Leave a Comment

Some of the menu items are too creative for my simple tastes. But if you love spice or fushion this is a good choice for you. Entrees change but there is always something interesting to try. Menu can be found on the web The LaPlatte Farms Black Angus Burger is very good, and safe if you want something sort of plain. .
Cajun Grilled Atlantic Salmon on focaccia with lemon aioli, arugula & tomatoes; served with potato salad is a staple and one of my favorite menu items Leave a Comment

summertime deck serves right through the "between" lunch and dinner hours
great french fries -- way back, it was first place around here to serve the curly seasoned ones hate to say it but as I am writing -summer 2005 - the local word is that the food safety is a little iffy (I have on the word of a campus infirmary nurse) Leave a Comment Theme: LocalPrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageAddress: 25 Bakery LanePhone: (802) 388-6724

Always a favorite, Middlebury Deli and Bagel has expanded in recent years and only gotten better. We tend to go there primarily for breakfast, struggling to choose between doughnuts, freshly baked bagels, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, and much more. However, their lunch should not be overlooked. They do fantastic sandwiches. Order at the counter, fill up your coffee mug from the coffee pot buffet, and wait for a seat to open up. You won't regret eating here!
We are always torn between a toasted cinnamon-sugar bagel with butter and the Bagel Egger (a tasty breakfast sandwich made to your liking). And, don't forget the coffee! A Middlebury hotspot, Mr Ups has it all. From a giant, well-stocked salad bar to tasty pasta to better than average burgers and fries. From local brewed beer to home made apple pie. Mr Ups is great for a quiet dinner for two, a big rowdy group dinner, or a drink at the bar.
The mud pie is to die for. In my opinion, it is the best there is. Try it! They also have a really great all-you-can-eat soup and salad bar. It might not seem like much, but I walk away stuffed everytime. To get there, turn onto Bakery Lane, at the Mobil station opposite Otter Creek Bakery.
