We found it impossible to just keep driving through the Vermont countryside. Every now and again we just had to stop to take 'another' photo. This scene is still on Route 44, near Plymouth, Vt.

A Rural Chapel

We found this old (1834) chapel (probably Methodist) on Route 44, West of Windsor. There was no indication that it was still in regular use. Just look at the size of the stones in the walls.

Autumn or Fall in Vermont Countryside

Vermont Countryside

The Vermont countryside in early October is wonderful. We discovered beatiful Fall scenes, like this one, whereas in other adjoining States, the Fall colours were not yet in their prime. Nor were they in Vermont, but they were the best that we saw in the NorthEast before returning home.
