North Troy Village Restaurant: This is The Only Restaurant in North Troy Vermont

by Goner Written Oct 23, 2002

Wine and dine in one of the area's most relaxed and charming restaurants. An old 1890 Victorian hotel completely restored. Serving the finest food at affordable prices. Specializing in prime rib, hand cut steaks, rack of lamb, seafood, chicken and Italian. Open Wednesday through Monday at 5:00 PM; call for winter hours.

Favorite Dish: We couldn't eat there as it wasn't open yet. The menu looked great and it was a very charming looking place. If you are really hungry and the restaurant isn't open, try the market across the street.

Billed as a 'Museum Dinnerhouse'. {photos, prints, books paintings, antique sports equipment and clocks, model ships....} They'll give you a tour if they're not too busy.

Favorite Dish: All good - homemade mashed potatoes! Bountiful, fresh salad and bread bar set up around a real boat. Includes peel-your-own shrimp and carrot cake so you don't need to order seperate appetizer or dessert.

Simon Pierce in Woodstock. They also make their own glass, so you can see the glass making process. The facility is powered by their very own hydroelectric plant worth seeing as well. Fall is the best time to see the state. But each season holds a suprise.
