Rupert Travel Guide

This is an extremely unique destination. I stumbled across it on one of my random trips. Merck Forest & Farmland acts as an ecological learning center. They take on interns each year to work and learn about farming and and about timber management. Still, this is a working farm producing timber, meat, vegetables, wool and other completely organic products. It is open to the public. You can stroll the farm and learn all about what happens here, or go for a hike up through the woods. They have very well kept trails.
