The couple that runs this shop also owns a malt shop just down the street, and on a trip through St Johnsbury we were looking for a place to eat late on Memorial Day. Nothing was open except the malt shop, and we asked them if they knew of a place we could get sandwiches. Even though they were technically closed, the lady said we could head down to their cafe and she would make us sandwiches! Very nice, she definitely didn't have to do that for us! In addition, the sandwiches were delicious. My cousin, who got the quiche, said it was especially delicious. The shop also had a wide array of cake decorating items and chocolates/fudge, which was a surprise to find in a cafe, but very cool. All in all, would definitely recommend this place for the great food and the very nice owners!
What to buy:
I got a grilled chicken sandwich wrap, hot on the panini press. It was delicious and very well wrapped, nothing falling out like you sometimes get with wraps. Also a great place to go to get cake decorations or candy! They also had some balloons.
This is a cute locally owned place with some fantastic sweets. Save some room after lunch/dinner -- or stop in for a mid-afternoon snack.
What to buy:
Any of their special, home-made stuff!
