    Joe Theismann, a former Washington Redskins quarterback, opened this restaurant in 1986. It has the atmosphere of a sport bar, but has the taste of a fine restaurant in that it is not a chain and the menus are prepared from scratch. Joe's is a great place to hang out and enjoy the food ranging from simple to elegant. It is convenient located a stone's throw from both the King Street metro station and the Alexandria Amtrak station. Many times, I would meet friends to dine there just before I would take the train home.
