Not much nightlife, although Stafford is building up. There are a few bars, Ruby Tuesdays, Carlos O'Kelly, Irish Pub right outside Aquia Harbour's main gate in Aquia Towne Center. A new place just opened up...has pretty good food and a bar....a "Blues" place.

Transportation

Buses Run to Stafford (Near By) from Washington

A lot of Aquia Harbour residents commute to work. The train into DC is approximately 10 miles away in either direction (north or south). Slugging (catching rides from people who need 3 riders to use the express lanes into Washington, D.C.) is very popular. Buses also go from the Stafford commuter lots.

What to buy: Not much shopping in the Stafford area. They are in the process of building new stores (Kohls, Target, etc.) right off the Garrisonville exit. We have a Walmart, Home Depot and Staples.

Most shopping is done by driving 20 miles in either direction (south to Fredericksburg or north to Potomac Mills).

Govenors Island is located near the stables in Aquia Harbour. Nice hike, and will eventually be made into a county or state park. Govenors Island is where they got the stone that build the Capitol and other momuments in Washington, D.C.
