    Brrrr..March is cold and windy.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Hats, scarves, gloves, lip balm, water, food, and what ever else you deem neccessary. Tank tops, cool cotton T's, walking shoes, sandals, umbrella for rain and shade.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring what ever medical supplies you think you may need, as the drugstores and grocery stores are WAY off the beaten path.

Photo Equipment: Make sure that you have film, charged up batteries as well as extra's.

Miscellaneous: There are hotdog vendors on the streets all over DC, as well as some of the best restaurants, but if you are on a shoe string budget, bring your own.

    Kodak Advantix

Photo Equipment: You'll kick yourself in the butt if you leave your camera at home. Some of my newer photos didn't turn out as well as before, but that is not the fault of my Kodak Advantix or me. The place where I developped my photos made some of them turn out not as well as I took them.

    Packing for A Weekend Away

    by cjg1 Written Jun 4, 2010

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Luggage and bags: Most of our trips to the area are weekend road trips so a small rollaboard or overnight bad will suffice

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: We pack according the season and weather forecasts. Winter can be frigid so plenty of warm clothing and layers are a must. In the summer months when temperatures and humidity soar; we pack light, breathable clothing. Comfortable walking shoes are always a must. We always pack umbrellas; just in case of rain.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Shampoo, Hair gel, Razor, shaving cream, contacts, glasses, deodorant, toothpaste, aspirin, cologne, brush and body wash.

Photo Equipment: Digital camera, charger, memory card reader and video camera

    Miscellaneous: Laptop

    Leave your gun at home

    KATHY FORGOT SWIMWEAR!

Luggage and bags: For walking around Arlington National Cemetary, small, city backpack (the smaller the better) and surely bag for your camera - both better water-proof.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: For your hotel pool: a swimwear. No topless bathing suits, ladies. Shorts above knee for guys. Sun-glasses especially in winter and summer and a rain coat, eventually less comfortable umbrella.

Miscellaneous: Leave your gun at home, there is a lot of security and... they are faster than you,. Do not forget to take BIG SMILE :-) Kathy didn't. Enjoy!

    For night photography

FROM THE TOP OF SHERATON NATIONAL HOTEL (ENLARGE!)

Photo Equipment: Take as many films as you can or as large memory card as you can - Arlington and Washington, DC offer a lot for photography lovers :-).

For pictures at night and/or bad light (weather) and first of all for night pictures from the top of Sheraton National Hotel (on my picture) take a tripod. Enlarge my picture and find out the Pentagon (easy) and the Capitol (difficult).
