Coach House Tavern is a restaurant located in a restored outbuilding on Berkeley Plantation. The first 10 United States presidents dined with the Harrisons just 100 yards off, at the manor house.
The restaurant, which was run by an independant operator, has closed. I hope they reopen as soon as possible.
Unique Suggestions: Hmm... no way to eat there but you can enjoy your eyes looking at the pretty building of the restaurant.
Fun Alternatives: We drove to Indian Fields Tavern and it was very good move - more in my Restaurants tips.

There was the map of the Berkeley Plantation put in front of the main entrance. First, I noticed that there is "1619 Ship (Replica)" displayed in the Amphiteater Stage on the James River bank. The identical map was printed in my ticket.
Surely I went there and... there was NO SHIP! Hmm... was it the old map (where is the ship now?), future map or just wrong map?
Unique Suggestions: Very wide James River looks pretty wild and "old" even without the ship. Hmm... the ship was only a replica.
Fun Alternatives: Do you really want to see old ships?
Visit Colonial National Historical Park in Jamestown, 28 mi west of Charles City. It is America's first permanent English colony. The three ships from England: Susan Constant, Godspeed and Discovery landed there in the spring of 1607. There are the replicas of these ships displayed there.
