Favorite thing: Some people come to Chincoteague to see the wild ponies. Some people come for the beach and the National Seashore. We came to take photos of the lighthouse. Unfortunately we were too early in the season for tours. So we went on our own.
Fondest memory: You can even see the lighthouse from the McDonald's parking lot

Favorite thing: Do you need a hair cut while on vacation? Well here's Bob's Barber shop, just as you come over the bridge to the island you turn left on main street and he's on the right hand side, stop in for a clip!

Favorite thing: This is about the only way on to the island other than a boat, a small bridge over the bay to access the islands of Chicoteague and Assateague in Virginia. Assateague also has an entrance to the island on the Maryland side. Very nice marina here and alot of the restaruants.

Favorite thing: This island is all about the seafood and fishing. There are many different boat marinas around to dock your boat or to go look at some neat boats. This poor old boat has all but sunk at the dock, the rear end is under water, but it still has some neat character which made for a photo op. .

Favorite thing: These boats are running all the time, looked pretty new and clean for boats of this size. The Shooting Star fleet, very nice set of fishing boats used for the catch of the day for many of the local restaruants.
