 Hammerlover Says:  King's Barbecue is a must when visiting this 'city on the Blvd.' Friendly service people who have worked for or been in the King family forever! It has the most delicious barbecue in the south! Also homemade biscuits and apple pie to die for. 

 Hammerlover Says:  There is basically no night life in Colonial Heights! If you want to go out to dinner and a movie there is that but otherwise...nothing much. Of course, Richmond is only about 20 miles away. In Colonial Heights all is informal!

 Hammerlover Says:  PLEASE OBEY THE SPEED LIMITS! THEY RANGE FROM 35 TO 40 AND THE POLICE WILL STOP YOU FOR GOING 2 MILES OVER THEM! BEWARE! I KID YOU NOT! 

 Hammerlover Says:  The only tourists traps here are furnished by the Colonial Heights Police Department! It is known all over the USA as a speed trap! BEWARE! 

 Hammerlover Says:  The whole cityb is 'off the beaten path'! Few see Virginia State University or the city parks which are quite beautiful. 

 Hammerlover Says:  Anyone visiting this city must see Swift Creek Mill Dinner Theater! My personal memories include the high school football games when Petersburg High School played against Colonial Heights. We were great rivals!
