Anita's New Mexican Style Restaurnt: Best Mexican in Town

by iloveukmc Written Jun 13, 2007

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Anita's is new in town but not new to the Northern Virgnia area. We enjoy going here because the food is good, hot and not dripping in grease. It is also good because they have some fish items and vegetarian dishes for those who aren't meat eaters.

    Lightfoot: A special night

by jdeusna Written Jul 22, 2006

I was only able to eat lunch & brunch here, twice, in June 2006. It's in an old bank building. The vault doors are in place and in view. The food was absolutely wonderful. The reason I write is that they offer a chef's table. It is located in the sparkling clean and neat kitchen, set very elegantly for four. The concept is to tell the chef the likes and dislikes of the diners, and the chef prepares a meal of her choosing for the group. The cost is about $95 per person. Reservations are required about two weeks in advance. I was not there long enough to take advantage but based on the lunch and brunch we had, it will be very special.

Favorite Dish: So far the pancakes with berrys.

Lightfoot Restaurant: Treasures Abound in The Lightfoot

    by 807Wheaton Written Apr 30, 2005

    Enjoy the Ambiance

The Lightfood is situated in the heart of historic Loudoun County in Leesburg. Housed in an historic landmark, the Lightfoot was constructed in 1888 and was The Peoples National Bank for more than half a century. In 1999 the building was completly restored to its original grandeur. They gave us a beautiful brochure that details the restaurant and the picture above is from their information.

Favorite Dish: This is the only review I have on VT that I did not eat at the restaurant.
However, we did go inside and marveled at the beauty of this building. There is a huge fireplace to the side that is almost big enough to walk in. Upstairs there is an area called The Piano Bar and its open mezzanine design looks out over the reaturant while notes from the grand piano float through the superior space.
One of the servers enjoyed showing us around as we were there in between lunch and dinner hours. He encouraged both my husband and me to look just inside the men's restroom. From inside the room you are looking at the back of the bank! Very interesting!
Do check this place out on the Internet address. If we ever go back we will definitely plan to enjoy a lunch or dinner there.

Red, Hot and Blue: Eat at a Popular Lunch Stop

    Red, Hot and Blue

We came into town about one o'clock. We have eaten at Red, Hot and Blue before and have enjoyed it. We also had a coupon for a $5 off that I got off the Internet. So rather than hunt for a local place we ate here.
As usual we enjoyed their warm potato salad and their ribs. We also got such a huge portion of steamed vegetables that we took them with us along with leftover ribs.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Their theme is Memphis Blues. This restaurant , with their signature brick walls seemed to have more ambiance and coziness than we have found before.
I do recommend this "chain". for either eat-in or to-go. It's popular in Leesburg. They also have catering.

Favorite Dish: I love their warm potato salad. Yum.

    Friday 11.30am-11pm
    Saturday 12pm - 11pm

Favorite Dish: I cant remember what we ordered but the food and the service was really nice.

Giovanni's New York Pizza: Best Italian food & Pizza in family friendly setti

by jimsutton Written May 12, 2003

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

The pie maker actually throws his pizza dough - like the old days. Giovanni's has been a twenty year tradition in Leesburg.
This is a pure all family place - you won't see a table without kids, Cub Scouts, soccer teams, etc.

The kicker is that it's good food at good prices. No tablecloths on the linoleum tables so you won't see Prom parties here but that's their problem. They'll pay twice without getting the same quality elsewhere.

Favorite Dish: Chicken Parmagiana platter - generous serving size. Good quality mozarella cheese. Always fresh.
