Fondest memory: At one time, the old CNB building was the tallest building in the city until the Federal Reserve building and the Monroe building were built. The thing that made the Central National Bank building stand out was at night. When the weather was clear, the letters "CNB" were green. When the weather was rainy or stormy, the letters were red. Under foggy conditions, they were white. I can't find any night photos of CNB yet. The bank closed years ago and the tall building remains vacant.
