Tiki Bob's

Tiki Bob's is probably the nicest night club in downtown Richmond. On Wednesday nights, David and I along with a few other friends go down here to hang out and dance with some of the VCU locals. This is a really neat place to go because it is in the heart of Shockoe Bottom and literally everyone is down there. On Wednesday nights the club is really packed so you have to get there early. Friday and Saturday nights are also pretty busy, so I would try and get there early as well. The inside of the club is really nice. The dance floor is a pretty good size but it can get pretty crowded in there especially around 11pm after the club has been open for an hour or so. The DJ there is awesome and they really have a good light show and specialty effects, like smoke machine. On some wednesday nights they have hot body contest for boys and girls, and they do other special events throughout the year. Overall if you like to club and don't want to have to go all the way to D.C. to find a pretty nice one than Tiki Bob's is the place to go, if you get the oppurtunity. You can really meet alot of nice people down here. Oh by the way on Tuesday's they do 10cent chicken wings in the early evening and there chicken wings are pretty darn good. They are no Emilio's chicken wings but they are pretty good.

Dress Code: Typical dance club clothes. I usually wear a polo, and khakis shorts. Most of the girls wear a nice tanktop, or halter top, and usually a skirt or shorts. You probably want to wear a nice pair of shoes that are comfortable because dancing in uncomfortable shoes is definelty not fun. Trust me I learned the hard way.
