Bogart's is a neighborhood restaurant in the Fan District (so called because the streets "fan out" west from the university (VCU).
It used to be just a regular local kind of hangout, with college waitresses, average food, but a nice atmosphere. Bogart's theme, jukeboxes at every table (which no longer work), and old movie posters on the walls.
But recently, a new chef has come to work there, and let me tell you, the same ole' menu items now have a whole new taste! All of the food is really great. The desserts are quite good too - they have some store-bought, but I would go for whatever the chef has cooked up.
On weekends, you can go to Bogart's Back Room to hear great jazz! Be prepared - it's a smoking room.
Favorite Dish: I used to like the Maltese Falcon, but it has been discontinued. I can't remember what it's called now, but it's a chicken sandwich. You won't be disappointed.
I'm serious, almost anything from the menu will please your palate!
