Fresh doughnuts straight from the fryer. Krispy Kreme has been at this location since 1955 and has become a Richmond institution. You can buy Krispy Kreme at any grocery store, but there is nothing like eating a doughnut freshly made on the premises. As you enter the side door, you can see the doughnuts go through the process of being made.
Favorite Dish: Raspberry jelly filled glazed doughnut and, in the autumn, they serve a pumpkin doughnut. The year round they have more varieties of doughnut than Baskin Robbins, even Bresler's, has of ice cream. Krispy Kreme serves up the best doughnuts in the area.

Simply the place to go for a late-nite pig out!
We on the West Coast just recently got our first KK franchises out here - you can get 'em at SBC Park in SF - but everyone kept telling me that the only way to eat 'em was fresh. I scoffed; how much better can they be? But let me tell 'ya, it is more than worth a trip for these tasty treats!
Favorite Dish: The glazed donuts - hot off the rack - are in a food group by themselves; calling them donuts does not do them justice. Sugary, crispy outside, melt in your mouth good on the inside. All other donuts are crap compared to these. Trust me on this.
In the window of KKs there's a red sign that says "hot" & "now" on it. When it is flashing - PULL OVER! That means they're just coming out!
I would suggest getting at least a dozen. I ate 6 of them no problem, and was only mildly woozey.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is a chain of bakeries which produce and sell dougnuts since 1937. It was founded in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Now, they are in all states and in Canada, UK and Australia, too.
This one in Richmond has been at this location since 1955 and became very popular, the best place to either buy or taste famous dougnuts in the area.

A Richmond tradition. Whatever your doughnut vice they've got it. Another tradition is to eat the glazed doughnuts while they are still hot. I personally prefer them cooled.
Favorite Dish: Boston Creme would be my favorite choice. For those of you unfamiliar with this doughnut, it is a egg cream filled, glazed, chocolate topped delight. The plain glazed is the most popular( this is the one you eat hot).
