Richmond has its own IMAX theater which is co-located at the Science Museum of Virginia. Because of its location, offerings focus on enviromental and science related movies. There is also a functioning planetarium with shows educating visitors about the heavens.
The great thing about where the IMAX is located is that the Science Museum of Virginia and the Children's Museum of Richmond are in the same place making this spot a nice day out for the kids.
