    Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden atrium

For those of y'all with a green thumb, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is the place for you. Folks, the only flower I can distinguish from the rest of the lot is the geranium (and that's because I'm allergic to it). However, it is fun to see the architecture of the buildings and the well-manicured grounds. I found the big atrium with the palm tree inside it particularly impressive. The botanical garden is on the site owned by millionaire Lewis Ginter who used this for a playground for the rich and he was an amateur gardener himself. When he died in the late 19th century, his niece turned it into a hospice for sick kids. After she died, it was made into a botanical garden.
