Go for a hike!

by matcrazy1

Whenever I think about sport activities in Virginia I think about our Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington with its fitness club and roof swimming pool as well as about the Shenandoah National Park in western Virginia, southwest of Washington, DC, which offers over 500 miles of trails, including 101 miles of the Appalachian Trail. It's a paradise for hiking fans of all ages, abilities and interests and the best place in the Eastern states to see a black bear.I wanted to go for 2-3 hours hike but foggy and partly rainy weather changed my plans. Well, I took an easy, fairly level hike circling Big Flat Mountain and the Loft Mountain Campground (1.6 miles, 1 3/4 hour). Details here. Give your feet a little bit comfort. Wear good hiking shoes.

Many types of fish have been brought in off this pier like, croaker, flounder, trout, blue fish, shark and many other type of species. They do have bait and tackle available for a fee. B.Y.O.G.
