spartan 917 reviews

Was driving by and decided to drop in to check out the place. Since I was staying at a hotel nearby, I ordered take out, but the next time I'm in the area, I will definitely dine in.

Favorite Dish: I ordered the Crispy Rolls/Ch? Gi? (deep-fried rolls with pork, mushroom and carrot) for an appetizer and Grilled Beef with Rice Vermicelli Platter/B?n B? N??ng (grilled beef, rice vermicelli, lettuce, sprouts, cucumber, mint, pickled vegetables and chopped peanuts).

Bertucci's Brick Oven Ristorante: A treasured time to relax
spartan profile photo

3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

spartan 917 reviews

Bertucci's is a place to go to sit back in the glow of their authentic brick oven and breathe in the aroma of fresh bread baking, vegetables roasting as well as savor the flavors of their signature seafood dishes, entrýe specialties, pasta dishes, and of course, incomparable pizzas.

Favorite Dish: One of only a handful of restaurants in America awarded the Certificate of Authenticity from the prestigious L?Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana in Naples.

So what did I have for dinner? You guessed it; pizza...but not just any ordinary pizza. I have tried The Ultimate Bertucci Brick Oven Pizza (a signature brick oven pizza where each quarter features a different delight...sweet Italian sausage, meatballs, rosemary ham, and grilled chicken...all quarters feature pepperoni) as well as the Scallops & Bacon Brick Oven Pizza (sea scallops, smoked bacon and lemon-pepper cream sauce with mozzarella and romano cheeses).

I've also sampled the Sausage Soup (a hearty soup with long grain rice, spinach, tomatoes) as well as the Chicken & Rosemary Ham Calzone (chicken, rosemary ham and fresh basil blended with ricotta, mozzarella and sharp Italian cheeses).

Kabul Kabob Restaurant: Exotic, alluring and delicious
spartan profile photo
spartan 917 reviews

I had driven by this restaurant quite a few times and never stopped in. Well I was looking for something different, so one night I stopped by for dinner (take out). Luckily for me, it was crowded, so I was talk to the son (it's a family run business). Nice conversation about food, Afghanistan and more food...great place that you should visit when in town.

Favorite Dish: I selected the Kabul Special (grilled and marinated pork, chicken and ground beef over spicy brown rice, carrots and raisins, spinach, salad and yogurt) with Afghan Bread.

Steakhouse: Steaks, Ribs and Prime Rib
spartan profile photo

spartan 917 reviews
A wonderful find on a cold and rainy night

A fun and lively place where you go for a great meal at a decent price.

Favorite Dish: If you are looking for an appetizer, then I would highly recommend the Lightly Fried Calamari (served with marinara sauce for dipping).

Once you are seated, the server brings out a bucket of roasted peanuts. Once you order your meal, sweet honey glazed rolls are placed on the table.

For dinner, I chose the Grill Pork Chops (French cut chops grilled to order (blackened in my case) with brown butter gravy, homemade mashed potatoes & corn salsa).

Wash it down with an ice cold beer...I asked for a Black (Guiness) and Tan (Roadhouse Ale).

Hard Times Cafe: Wings and Margarita's
spartan profile photo
spartan 917 reviews

The Hard Times Cafe was conceived as a desire to maintain an important part of America's culinary history.

Favorite Dish: On Wednsday night, they have chicken wings and margarita specials. So I had 12 Golden Wings (25 cents a piece) along with a couple Margarita's on the rocks.

Mike's American Grille: A happening place
spartan profile photo

0.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

spartan 917 reviews

The popularity of this place has made it the most successful steak house in Northern Virginia, not to mention a restaurant that draws a crowd from all over the area. It's a classic American steak house offering Certified Angus prime rib and steaks in a casual, stylish setting. There is not enough parking on the property, so you can park next door at the bank or across the street in the shopping center.

Favorite Dish: Wow...where should I begin. For starters, your waiter/waitress will bring a basket of bread with seasoned butter. And for the meal...well if you are in the mood for beef, I would highly recommend either the 12 oz. Blackened Prime Rib (with basil redskin mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad) or the Certified Angus Ribeye Steak (with basil redskin mashed potatoes, mushrooms and a house salad).

On the other hand, you can't come to the eastern seaboard of the U.S. and not try the Saut?ed Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes (with remoulade sauce, french fries and cole slaw). There are a number of ways to wash these meals down, you'll have to decide for yourself, but again I would recommend Mike's Sweetwater Black and Tan...so, so good!!!

If you want to eat healthy, why not try the Monterey Salad (a special request for pine nuts with lightly fried chicken, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, corn & ranch dressing).

Springfield Restaurant & Pizzaria: Serving Greek, Italian and American cuisine
spartan profile photo
spartan 917 reviews

This is a family run restaurant which has a very loyal following. We stopped by for lunch and the place was packed...a good sign that the food is worth waiting for.

Favorite Dish: I would highly recommend the lunch buffet...all you can eat pizza, soup and salad. If you want to go healthy, then you can't go wrong by selecting the Fried Chicken Salad (fried chunks of delicate chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, onions, honey mustard dressing and warm/buttery pita bread).

Outback Steakhouse: No rules, just right
spartan profile photo

0.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

spartan 917 reviews

Excellent place to order a steak, watch sports or have a great time with friends.

Favorite Dish: Most of the time, this place is crowded, so call ahead for a reservation. If you are lucky enough, you can just show up and hope for a spot at one of the tables (or booths) in the bar area.

Once you find a seat, your waiter will start you off with Sweet Brown Bread. For the meal, I chose the Ayers Rock Strip (a 14 oz. New York Strip with a salad and your choice of rice, veggies or a baked potato).

Damon's Clubhouse is a leading full-service, casual dining restaurant that emphasizes grilled steaks, chicken, seafood, salad and award-winning ribs.

Favorite Dish: Try the Chicken Wings (hearty chicken wings marinated in either sweet & sour sauce or buffalo hot sauce with celery sticks and bleu cheese dip on the side) or Damon's Famous BBQ Ribs (the meatiest ribs cooked tender and smothered in bbq sauce and served with baked potato and cole slaw).
