Old Country Pancake House: Great Country Breakfast!

Breakfast Buffet

If you like a down home country breakfast where everything is make from scratch, this is definitely the place for you. This cute little restaurant has a shabby chic "General Store" decor. You'll see anything from old advertising signs, farm equipment, early kitchen appliances, old scooters and more. Somewhat like Cracker Barrel but with more of a homey feel, like in grandma's kitchen. We ate breakfast here 3 days in a row! In my opinion Angi is the best waitress there she has a wonderful personality and is very attentive. It's not a classy place but the food is great!

Favorite Dish: Everything!!!

Pancakes
Freanch Toast
Eggs
Sausage
Bacon
Ham
Grits
Biscuts & gravy
Hash Browns
Fruit & more!!!

This place advertises on the side of their building "All you can eat Seafood buffet...$15.95" So..tired from the day at the beach, and hungry as well, we decided to park here..and what a mistake it was...The food was disgusting, and cheap...We were first seated at a dark, dingy table..and when I asked to be moved to a table near the window that over looked the water front, I felt that I was asking for gold, diamonds and more. Forgettabout the pearls in any oysters...
Skip this joint... I can not say anything positive about this experience...much to my chagrin...

Favorite Dish: ..ummm..how about the peel and eat shrimp? And even they were over done...

The best ribs, chicken and steak around. I go there every year. Cozy yet suitable for families too. Make sure you say hi to Jay, a very friendly waiter.

Favorite Dish: Ribs and chicken combo. Great food and a decent price.

Tripps Restaurant

The concept is sophisticated - without being stuffy. The mood is upscale and energetic. "It's a fun place to go where you can get anything you want, and it's always great!" This is the statement they have on their website, and I have to agree, the food here is excellent as is the service and atmosphere.

Favorite Dish: Do order prime rib, it literally melts in your mouth -- I wish I was there right now ! If you're on the Atkins Diet, this is the place for you. But if not, have a baked potato, baked in rock salt to perfection.

Neat atmosphere. Dine inside or out on the boardwalk. Entertainment in the gazebo on the boardwalk on the weekends.

Favorite Dish: Just great food all around. Had the Buffalo Wings and they were very good. If you like Sushi, this is the place to come. Be sure to smile for the web cam in the bar area!

Va beach and its vicinty offers a wide range of cuisines to suit every taste ....... Try BODEGAS which offer yummy Spanish menue!

For those who prefer Italian food, you must pay a visit to CARMELA's PASTA CAFE. Great food and a great atmospher!

Feeling adventrous? try Croc's, a
tropical, palm tree- decorated resturant with a Caribbean-themed! It is one of the local hot spots in Virginia Beach. And yes they offer Gator's meat!(its rather good actually) :)

Nico I am not into gator, shark, beef, lamb, chicken meats! Anything green? Umm .. Who said you need meat to find flavor?! Try TERRA NOVA NATURAL FOODS CAFE. It is heaven for those vegetarians!
You will find anything from overstuffed sandwiches, spiffy green salads and homemade soups.to tasty tofu salads and vegetarian lasagnas. If thisrty they serve awesome fresh squeezed juices, slushy smoothies and nutritious soymilk for those who dare!! :)

Finally, a resturant and yet a landmark, LIGHTHOUSE RESTAURANT. Located a short distance from the GTE Amphitheater and Virginia Marine Science Museum and overlooking the ocean.
You can enjoy delicious entrees or all you can eat buffet with fresh catch, crab legs, scallops, steamed shrimp, chicken & beef.Great food and nice view!

Being the romantic kinda guy I am (no really!) I have to list one of my fav romantic resurants in VA Beach! Alexander's ON THE BAY on Fentress Ave.is a must for any couple on a romantic getaway! There is also a beautiful view of the Chesapeake Bay from every table in the resurant! So all of you Romeos and wanna be Romeos go ahead and take your Juliet there, it will be a night she won't forget! :)
