Two person bike by tpangelinan These are a 2 or 4 person bike set up like a car, now you would think 2 people are better than 1, this is not always the case. These bike are very heavy not so easy to move around. If you are handicapped like myself this can be the least amount of fun you had all trip. Now if your a healthy person these may be ok, they are not as easy to lock up while you go into a store as a 2 wheeled bike is and they are much slower. Leave a Comment Theme: Bicycle

Bike rentals and food by tpangelinan Look closely and tell me WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?? I'll give you a moment to look it over........OK, SOOO What do yah think? Is it me or are they selling you BEER & WINE, then renting you a bike to go drink and drive about town for the day. What more could a vacationer ask for, BEER,WINE & a BIKE! Sorry just thought this rather amusing. I took a stroll inside and it had alot of thing you may need, food, gifts, beer & wine of course and many other things, kind of expensive, but it is one stop shopping. Leave a Comment Theme: Bicycle

Rent a bike by tpangelinan There are many bike rental places, We would suggest either bringing your own bike or renting one, you can cover alot more ground and see more on a bike, plus Virginia Beach has a wonderful bike path along side of the boardwalk for clear sailing. In beach towns I am inclined to walk around that way I won't miss anything. There's so much to look at as well as the lil' cutsie shops that carry things you generally can't find anywhere else. There is off street parking, as well as parking lots directly in front of the beach. I paid $10.00 for the whole day. We just left the car there, and headed up the street. There are cabs if one so desires. Not sure about buses, as I have no interest in taking them. I did see alot of people riding bikes on the boardwalk next to the ocean. There were tandem bikes as well as these 3 seater things...2 ride in back, with a surrey on top, and one rides in front. Too much work for me, as I am there for R&R. Leave a Comment

To get there I flew from Newark Airport in New York, there are I think 2 flights a day and I flew with Contential airlines. It's about an hours flight to the aiport in Norfolk(the closest airport to Va beach).Obviously you can drive from any state ,get the bus or train too.I wouldn't recommend the bus for long journeys ie to New York. Your best bet is to stay at the shore and get around on the Beach Trolleys, which run from May through September (no service off-season). The Atlantic Avenue Trolley runs daily, every 10 to 15 minutes from noon to midnight along the entire length of Atlantic Avenue. The North Seashore Trolley runs Monday through Friday, every 30 minutes from 6:30am to 6:30pm along Pacific Avenue between 19th and 68th streets. The Museum Express Trolley runs daily, every 15 to 30 minutes from 8am to 10pm, to midnight on weekends, between Atlantic Avenue at 40th Street and the Virginia Science Museum and Ocean Breeze Amusement Park on General Booth Boulevard. Fares on any of these trolleys are 50˘ per ride for adults and children, 25˘ for seniors and disabled persons. Or you can buy a Trolley Pass, which costs $3.50 for adults and children, $1.75 for seniors and disabled persons; it’s good for three days of unlimited rides. In addition, the Lynnhaven Mall Trolley also runs during summer, from Atlantic Avenue at 25th Street to Lynnhaven Mall, the city’s main shopping center on Lynnhaven Parkway south of Va. 44. The fare is $1.50 per person. Leave a Comment Theme: Bus

If you're going to the Oceanfront in Virginia Beach, there are tons of parking - meter, lots, and street. Lots generally cost $5 weekdays and $7 on weekends. Even if you are going for the full day with bunch of people, there's no reason to have to pull into a parking lot. You can find free street parking around Baltic and 24th. I've never not found a spot - even on a weekend. But beware, these places are no parking zones in the evening from 8pm to 6am. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home
