by Yaqui Written Jul 9, 2004

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: Here is a site you can print our a pretty good map showing the location of many of the memorials and monuments.

    Check it out:

Sometimes we get in a hurry, so can't hurt to be prepared some. Hehehe, I know, easier said than done.:-))

    Cherry Blossoms

by Allikatac Written Apr 17, 2006

Favorite thing: Cherry Blossom season is a beautiful time to visit D.C. If you do go during this time be prepared for the crowds. There are tons of people and a lot of extra events going during this time.

Favorite thing: The financial district is vibrant and clean, and the buildings here are not so tall that they overwhelm you.

    Washington Monument in the jungle?

    by mht_in_la Written Jul 22, 2004

Favorite thing: The photo was taken from Constitutional Gardens. From the right angle, Washington Monument looks like a totem pole rising from the jungle.

    Leisure walk along C&O Canal

    by mht_in_la Written Jul 13, 2004

Favorite thing: If you visit the Georgetown University area, get down to the C&O Canal and take a leisure walk. Lots of photo opportunities. Besides the joggers and bicyclists, watch out for the homeless too.
