    Chinatown

    by mht_in_la Written Jul 12, 2004

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Favorite thing: I visited DC's Chinatown mainly because I'm a big fan of Chinatowns around the world. But I wasn't impressed. It's kind of small with very few interesting shops. The restaurants along 7th St between the Chinatown gate and MCI Center were decorated to look Chinese but these were not even Chinese restaurants. Along H St near the gate there were a few shops and restaurants and that's about it.

    Cherry Blossoms

by Allikatac Written Apr 17, 2006

Favorite thing: Cherry Blossom season is a beautiful time to visit D.C. If you do go during this time be prepared for the crowds. There are tons of people and a lot of extra events going during this time.

Favorite thing: The financial district is vibrant and clean, and the buildings here are not so tall that they overwhelm you.

    Washington Monument in the jungle?

    by mht_in_la Written Jul 22, 2004

Favorite thing: The photo was taken from Constitutional Gardens. From the right angle, Washington Monument looks like a totem pole rising from the jungle.

    Leisure walk along C&O Canal

    by mht_in_la Written Jul 13, 2004

Favorite thing: If you visit the Georgetown University area, get down to the C&O Canal and take a leisure walk. Lots of photo opportunities. Besides the joggers and bicyclists, watch out for the homeless too.
