    Row Houses

    Row Houses

Upscale residential area of Capitol Hill. Popular 'row' houses.

Driving through some of the neighborhoods can be interesting.

The elegant layout of the city is awesome and some believe that a special type of person lives in D.C. However, I believe that people are the same where ever we go.

Here you'll find the homes of the rich, famous and powerful as well as the homes of the average working class and in some areas there is poverty.

What impressed me the most was that even the poorest citizens of D.C. can enjoy some of the best museums in the world any time they want. All Smithsonian Museums offer a wealth of information and there is no entrance fee.

Between the Lincoln and Washington Monuments

Notice the Washington Monument in the distance.

My heart goes out to people like this man who I delibertly took a picture of. The current administration has accomplished what Roosevelt through Carter could not do.

So many middle class people have faced over the past eight years and still deal with a difficult periods of personal strife because of loss of jobs, lower pay, down sizing. I have been fortunate to have a caring family to help me through these past few years.

Lord, open the eyes of the current and future leaders of the United States. Give them compassion for the working man, promote equality and unity amoung the masses, work for the common good of all people.

Make this country energy efficient and make the US independent of oil!

For those of you interested in how the posh of the poshest live in DC, visit Potomac, Maryland a few files northwest of Washington, DC. This area is home to wealthy lawyers, corporate officers & businessmen.
Just drive up River Road and see the castles abound...

    Washington Marina

It is interesting to know that several Congressman live aboard houseboats at the Washington Marina since they go home on weekends.
