Drinking and Dancing 'til Dawn by ESQinDC Adam's Morgan is a great neighborhood that showcases DC's great diversity. The 18th Street Corridor from Columbia to about California Street is one bar or cafe after the other. The Toledo Lounge is a great spot to grab a drink after a short stop here head over to Felix for some Jazz. Places to eat include Perry's (great rooftop deck, good sushi), The Diner and Pasta Mia. On the cheaper side grab an empenada at Julia's. Leave a Comment Theme: Eating and DrinkingAddress: Corner of Columbia and 18th Streets, NWDirections: Take the Metro to Woodley Park. and take a right at the top of the escalator. You can catch the 98 bus (it's a short bus!) to Adam's Morgan for only twenty-five cents!

by MrGQ Nico I am tired of the buildings .. I wanna PARTY like a rock star!! Help me please! You're in luck because DC does have some of the best night entertainment! Lets see where shall we start ... The 18th Street Lounge: One of my fav hangouts. Its a very GQ/Cosmo club. WHat does that mean. Well it sorta has this snoby attitude. So unless you are dressed the part, walk the walk and talk the talk you might not get in! I know sounds unfair but no one said life was fair! :) Music: house and hip hop on the second floor and deck, live jazz in the third-floor lounge. The Bohemian Caverns: Although live jazz is the true draw, the Caverns inhabits the upper level on weekend nights with a DJ spinning what the club has dubbed 'smooth funky rhythms.' Excellent place for Jazz and rythem lovers! Cities: is New York-swanky and trendy kinda club. Umm what does that mean? With amber-colored low lighting, pricey drinks and a martini-glass-littered bar, it's classy and slightly pretentious. It seems like its a place for people with money or those who pretend to have money! :) Diva Nightclub at Tuscana West: A cosmopolitan club with a Middle Eastern flare, Diva attracts ex-pats, visiting students, diplomats and D.C.'s more international natives. DJs spin a mix of Arabic- and Latin-flavored techno and club versions of Top 40 dance hits. Drinks are not cheap and dress to impress!! Paper Moon: A trendy resturant in the heart of George Town that turns into a dance club after11pm on weekends! Nico .. I am sure you mean well but I am a down to earth kinda guy/gal and I want to Drink beer and not audition to become a runway model! Ahh .. in that case try Champions of Georgetown or ESPN Zone. Other clubs worth checking out: Polyster and Insomnia. Both multi level and offering a variety of music! Insominia is more Hip Hop and R&B. Nico any chance of 'aletrnative life style' spots? You mean Gay bar? Sure DC has a few popular places for alternative life styles (amazing how we come up with these complicated names for simple things just to be politically correct!) Try Dupont Italian Kitchen, a returant down staris and a love shack umm I mean club upstairs! :) Leave a Comment Theme: Other

I was once a regular at all the dance clubs along K street and in Georgetown, but I've been away for a few years.... I do, however, go to a regular Swing Dance event in a ballroom at the Cherry Hill campground in College Park, MD. For dancing info in the MD/DC/Va area, go to the website below: Leave a Comment

No specific tips but look for Georgetown. I got lost there one night, and at least I could see it was full of cool places. Besides... isn't that where Mulder and Scully hang out?? Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by irinakats Dance clubs include the Zei club, The Spot, the Edge, the Cage, Platinum, and Nation. Insomnia- some Saturdays are 'Glow', where the club turns more into a rave, and most clubgoers are in their early 20's. (Bring glow sticks) The Spot- A much younger scene. This club has 3 levels and 5 different rooms including retro (80's), salsa, hip-hop, rave, and something else. Sorry can't remember. Other really good ones- Platinum and Dream. All classy- dress nice. In the US, most clubs do not allow minors (under 18) to enter. The drinking age is 21!! That means no alcohol!! Leave a Comment Theme: Concert
