SPANK

by globetrotter_2006

Spank is the upstairs lounge at Club MCCXXIII (1223). There is plenty of sitting room if you get table service, ussually anywhere between $250 and $500 minimum. There are serveral bars @ Spank with a good DJ that plays sexy house. Dress very nice.

Sports Bar: Lucky Bar

by globetrotter_2006

Lucky Bar is one of my favorite sports bars in DC, and they truly dedicate themselves to soccer fans. The bar has three big screen TV's and over 22 smaller TV's. It has pool tables, booths, three bars, and several secluded areas where to sit. There some food, but nothing to brag about. Casual

Cafe Citron

by globetrotter_2006

Cafe Citron is one of the most popular Latin Clubs in Washington DC. It has three floors, a small top level with a bar and a sitting area overlooking the main floor. The man floor has dinning booths as well as tables, and a main bar. The bottom floor has some couches, a bar, and very low cealings. The bottom floors is where the dancing takes place. It can get very packed during the weekends.

Dragonfly Sushibar

by globetrotter_2006

Dragonfly is an ultra slick Sushi Bar with white decor....as a matter of fact, even the bus boys are dressed in white over alls. I have never eating here, but I heard the sushi is pretty decent. It has two floors. The first floor has a bar, dinning tables and a DJ booth. The secong floor has couches and sitting space, a bar and a DJ booth next to the window. The music is pretty decent. Dress nice

The Brickskeller

by globetrotter_2006

The Brickskeller is one of the most, if not the most, well know Beer Bar in Washignton DC. It is my favorite place to drink beer, but it can also get to be a little expensive since their beers are hard to find. The hold several awards, including the Guiness World Record for most beers sold. It has an Upstairs Bar with plenty of sitting room, and a more cozy downstairs. There are no TV's in either the upstairs or the downstairs bar, this is a strictly beer drinking bar.....I am so glad is 50 seconds away from my apartment. They also have a food menu which includes a great cheese board, pirogues, and buffalo burgers.

Cafe Saint EX

by globetrotter_2006

This is one of my favorite bars in DC. It is a very hip, and fashionable bar. Some great DJ's spin nightly downstairs. Their Menu and food is extensive, and their beer selection is out of this world. There is a bar upstairs with sitting room for lunch or dinners, while the downstairs is a little more laid back. The downstairs has comfortable couches, the DJ booth, a Bar, and TV's. In the summer time you can also seat outside.

Stetsons: Great atmosphere, no frills bar

by largerama

On the west side of U Street at the very bottom of Adams Morgan, Stetsons is unlike anywhere else in DC, as it has that dive/corner bar look about it but the clientelle is so mixed. From the outside it looks like a saloon. Inside the decor is shabby and a little dingy downstairs but you cant beat the long, old style bar and garden out the back in summer. Upstairs has a pool table, dart board and is more airy.this is a great place to spend with a group of friends and for a tourist, see a slice of city life in DC you wont get in many other places especially somewhere like Georgetown. Expect to meet anyone from strippers to White House interns, cops to students, lawyers to local residents. Stetsons is a great meeting place for all and it gets packed on a weekend especially.Go there a couple of times and you will be treated as a regular and you will begin to meet the diverse regulars who...

Five: On the roof of a club

by Monoii

This club has different floors with different music like techno, hip hop, etc. I went on the roof, it was great, specially on a hot summer night. The music was R&B and hip hop, modern and old.And good to know, you don't have to dress up. Sneakers are allowed. No Dress Codes

Black Cat: Another great live music venue!

by rsleisk

Black Cat is another great place for live music in DC. Some of the best bands in the world perform here. The frantic KAITO opened up for an awesome show by the BRITISH SEA POWER. They have a great selection of beers, but be warned, this is a cash bar only no CCs! Anything goes.
