After arriving back home, we sat at the kitchen table looking at all these marvelous brochures that we had been given on different parts of PNG. It looked like quite a change but, at the same time, we were excited at the prospect of such a trip !!
Cherry Red Productions
Rated by William Triplett Washington Post as 'Sleazy, cheesy, gooey, spewy farce about sex, drugs, murder, transgenderism and bad words. Think John Waters only not as tasteful. Guaranteed to make you either laugh out loud or run screaming from the theater.' Tonight, I go to see 'The Seven Deadly Dwarves,' a series of seven plays created by having 7 playrights each pick the name of one of Cinderella's drarves and one of the seven deadly sins. Sounds like it should be good fun.
According to their web site, 'Intent upon producing work wherein the common element is an irreverent approach to a serious theme, Cherry Red is dedicated to plays that appeal first to the body, then to the mind. Whether skewering the classics or premiering newfound filth, our outrageous, psychotronic signature has made 'Cherry Red' synonymous with underground theatre in D.C.'
Visit them online at Cherryredproductions.com to find out about upcoming plays.
Below is a picture of one of the pictures from their last production. This is from the scene titled 'Carmina Pirhana.'
