    Rice: Contemporary Thai Cuisine

    The Dining Room, Rice

Logan Circle and the 14th Street corridor are emerging as DC's must visit neighborhood and Rice, a modern Thai restaurant, is just proof that this neighborhood's upswing is picking up speed.

Rice isn't just another Thai eatery. The owners have worked to create a unique and creative environment to enjoy some great Thai treats.

From the Mango Martini's to the sticky rice and Thai spaghetti, Rice is full of little suprises. Visit before the news of this little treasure gets out!

Favorite Dish: Thai Spaghetti: A twist on this traditional dish. Sweet tomato sauce is offset with accents of anchovy and fresh pepper corn. Yum!

    Two Words: Mango Martini!

Rice: Great Thai Food, Vibrant Neighborhood!

by ESQinDC Written Mar 7, 2004 32 reviews

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Over the past three years, DC's 14th Street has undergone a revival that's fast reaching a tipping point. Nothing epitomizes this more than a dinner at Rice.

Rice is a Thai restaurant that would probably be a better fit in a trendy neighborhood in New York, yet here in dowdy DC is a hip, happening and wonderful new addition to our growing food scene.

Rice's small dining room is decorated in mimimalist chic, but don't let that fool you, the food is flavorful and the dishes are reasonably priced and good.

Any dish with sticky rice will bowl you over as will the Thai spaghetti. Try the mango martini, its delicious.

After dinner stroll 14th street and check out all the new, hip furniture and art stores. A few years from now everyone will be hanging out on 14th street, so get a jump on the scene and try Rice soon!

Favorite Dish: The Thai spaghetti is a delicious mix of Italian and Asian. A rich tomato sauce is spiced up with anchovy and whole, fresh pepper corns. Yum!

    Two Words- Mango Martini!
