There are many types of vendors at this Festival. Jewelrey, Purses, Blankets, Furniture, Fans, Umbrellas... and FOOD. Hot, Spicy, Thai Food. Buy as little or as much as you want. Everything is pretty affordable but no matter what you get, you're sure to see one more thing you cant live without. I walked around that place sooo many time and said wasnt going to buy anything else... and ended up with it anyway. Dont be afraid to shop around... check out a few places before you buy something, you may see something that you want but its not perfect...if you look around you may just find the variation that you're looking for!
They have everything, many Unique items that you dont have to go to Thailand just to get. They've done it for you. Great for gifts.
The food is not expensive, and they have lots of affordable items for sale,,,as well as items such as furniture that of course are more high end in quality and in price. Theme: OtherAddress: Wat Thai Ground(outside)

What a terrific little neighborhood bookstore this turned out to be. I went there looking for an Italian CD, unfortunately they were sold out, but they had so much more to offer. This store has books in over 15 languages. They also offer a wide range of language learning tools for adults and children. They specialize in travel information, so if they don't have it, it probably isn't worth having. SE brought me here during our visit to DC over June 16th, 17th and 18th. Before we got here he said this is a hidden treasure of DC and he was right. This is a must visit store for all VT members. Next time you're in DC stop and take a look.
Books about travel. Language learning tools. Children's books in foreign languages.

Close to D.C. and Alexandria, one Metro stop from the Pentagon is Pentagon City. Just get off the train, go through a short tunnel, and you're in the 3 story mall. My wife loved the Macy's -- lots of stuff on sale, and things in her size that she liked.
Cheaper than usual. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Pentagon City Metro stopDirections: Get on the green or yellow line, get off at Pentagon City

Heaven for collectors by gosiaPL Shopping wasn't on my list of things to do in Washington D.C., but if you are a collector of military badges (or whatever these pins are called), the kiosks by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial are just for you - you'll find them right away if you approach from the Lincoln Memorial's side. Planetarium Store by b1bob Normally, I like to stay away from museum stores because they inflate their prices something awful. However, I was more in need of a bag because the sharp edges of a picture frame Matt and Urszula gave me were making hamburger out of the small paper bag I had. Things were falling out of my bag including used rolls of film, which, thank goodness, I retrieved. I figured I would buy something small and get a bag. I asked the lady behind the counter for a bigger bag if she didn't mind and she gruffly said even after I explained why I needed a big bag that small bags go with small items. I gave Matt the pen I bought in order to get the bag which barely fit everything in. I don't know what it is about shopkeepers in the Washington, DC area. First it was this and a month later a shopkeeper at Fair Oaks Mall gave Matt a hard time about taking a storefront picture for which he was ready to make a glowing tip about the shop.
They offer all kinds of space and aviation related whatnots here, but I'll be dipped if I'll ever shop here again, not from the inferiority of the merchandise, but from the attitude of the shopkeepers. Leave a Comment Theme: GiftsDirections: Second Floor, Smithsonian Air and Space Museum

Main drag in Georgetown by karenincalifornia When my daughter saw the Ambercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle Outfitters stores in Georgetown, she wanted us to drop her off there while we did the Georgetown University tour with my son. "No way," I told my 14-year old barely 90 pounds daughter, "am I going to let you roam around a strange city all by yourself." "Oh Mom," she rolled her eyes and sighed. "You're soooooooo overprotective. I can take care of myself." "I'm not worried about that," I replied. "I'm worried that you'll max out my credit card."
Georgetown has a number of trendy stores - some are chains and some are boutiques. You can find a bit of everything here. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Union Station offers a variety of stores. Specialty stores, clothing stores, and a vast variety of food choices. This is a good place to stop and spend an hour or two and grab a bite to eat. I managed to spend $40 in the 20 minutes that I spent shopping. Their food court is located on the lower floor and they offer a good variety of food at reasonable prices.
They offer souveniors that you may not find in the museum gift shops and often at a cheaper price.
