There is no mistaking the sea theme of this restaurant. While the logical conclusion would be, I suppose, to order seafood here, you will find that the place also has a variety of other types of food, including burgers.
There is a reasonably good selection of local beverages too, including beer made in nearby communities.
There is outdoor seating, and while the street is the busiest in town, this location is towards teh end of town that faces the water and the end of the Peninsula on which Anacortes sits. Therefore, the traffic isn't a huge issue as it is in other restaurants located on main streets. The interior is divided into two sections: the kitchen and lunch counter section on one end, and the dining room with tables on the other. To get a seat in the main dining room, it is necessary to walk past the lunch counter to the very back of the restaurant.
Each of these sections has separate restrooms as well, so if one is occupied try the restrooms in the other section of the restaurant.
Favorite Dish: I highly suggest ordering something that comes with the "oven roasted herb fries".
The wee Skagit is a 1/4 pound burger cooked to order with toppings and your choice of the above fries or kettle-style chips for $8.50. The Skagit Burger is a version of this with 1/2 burger instead for $11.75. The meat is very lean due to being naturally fed and will therefore retain a pink color even when well cooked.
The honey lemonade is wonderful ($3 per pint or $2 per smaller glass).

The coffee house has a nice ambiance for relaxing, chatting, or just plain reading your early newspaper! There are awards of the restaurant on the walls - priding itself for being voted as the number one coffee house in Anacortes! There are stools and tables and comfortable brown leather couches where you can lounge while sipping your freshly brewed coffee or freshly made mocha!
Favorite Dish: Americano and mocha.

The Rockfish Grill has great food, great beer and great service. Their menu includes lots of seafood as well as plain fare like burgers and pizza. The food is fresh and well prepared. It has a bit of a gourmet flair without being pretentious. They are a microbrewery with quite a complete beer list. They feature many amber ales and lagers as well as several pales and several darker offerings. The two we tried seemed clean, fresh and true to type. The service really set this place apart. It was quick, friendly and efficient. All in all, we really enjoyed our experience and definitely look forward to going there again.
Favorite Dish: I had a salmon sandwich, Jeff had the pulled pork sandwich and my daughter had pepperoni pizza. Each of our meals was very delicious.

Gotta be Gepetto's, though it's much smaller than your typical restaurant.
You just can't get food that good that cheap anywhere else
Favorite Dish: Panini, but it's all good, and way more than you can finish, and way inexpensive
