North Fork Sauk Falls is a thundering monster of a waterfall. It only drops about 65 feet (19 m) but the sheer volume which travels over the rocks make it very impressive.
The sound emanating from this waterfall is quite noticeable from the trailhead which is about a 2 minute walk away. One thing that is very difficult to see from these pictures is the grand scale of this waterfall. It looks quite small but the descriptions of the massive sound may begin to make you understand just how powerful this waterfall is.
The drive up to this waterfall is certainly the most challenging part of seeing it. From where we parked it was literally 2 minutes walk down a well groomed path. Certainly worth the trip.
