Every Saturday morning head down to the Buckley Market located next to Del's Farm Supply. You never know what kind of deals you will find and you might get a piece of homemade pie if you get there early enough.
Ride the 4.2 mile loop around Rainier School. Follow Main Street east around to Collins Rd. around the school and back long Ryan Rd.on the south end of town. Watch out for traffic though as the shoulder is narrow and when there is a shift change at the school everyone is in a dash for home, longing to see loved ones.(I'm assuming)
The last FULL weekend of June. Come see REAL men preforming extreamly dangerous and skillful events that depict a century of taming the wilds of the Great Pacific North West. A Saturday parade, Thursday thru Sunday carnival, dozens of food booths, and the best heavy equipment expo in the Puget Sound area.
Come meet the people that made this area such a nice place to live!
The Hometown Cafe is a great place to enjoy breakfast or lunch. The food is cooked to perfection, the cafe itself is so clean and refreshing. The staff is friendly and alot of fun. You always want to come back soon.
Favorite Dish: The chicken sandwich is one of my favorites and I love the honey mustard.
The hill between the old "lower" cemetery and the current "upper" cemetery provides excellent sledding for youngsters after periods of moderate to heavy snow-fall during the winter months. Any time a snow day is declaired by the schol district dozens of children can be seen careening along with the spirits of yesteryear.
