Taqueria Juquilita: Mexican Food that Isn't Adjusted Much
Generally in the USA there are two types of Mexican restaurant:
1. Those where Mexicans will eat but others are not accustomed to the food and therefore don't tend to eat there.
2. Those that have adjusted the cuisine to attract more of everyone else, but in so doing have made the food in a way that the Mexican population would rather eat elsewhere.
Taqueria Juquilita generally falls in the former category: this tends to be a place where the food has not been adjusted much beyond the Mexican cook's tastes. Thus, this tends to be a place where the Mexican population goes to eat.
However, be that as it may, you will find them willing to make adjustments to how they cook their food in order to please pretty much anyone. As an example, they are willing to cook the Flautas with a baked-potato like filling as that is what some from their restaurant are used to doing back home. This makes this dish nearly vegan, should you want something along those lines. However, this option does not appear on their menu.
Chips and Salsa are an extra $0.99.

Somsiri Thai Restaurant: Modern Style with Thai Traditions
Don't be surprised when you show up at this small downtown Thai restaurant and the waitress hands you a record album. This place is a really interesting mix between stylish American modern and what you would expect from an American Thai restaurant.
Yes, the menus are inside old 33 1/3 LP record album covers (see photo 3), while at the same time the interior is what you would sort of expect a Thai restaurant to look like (see photos 2 and 5). The music being played here tends to be American modern, depending on the tastes of whoever happens to be around.
As with most northwest Thai restaurants, there is an assortment of meals available.

Dan's Eat Shop: Dan's Eat Shop
I have known the owner, Dan Ewing for over 20 years. After working in various Seattle restaurants as a chef, he decided to come home and open his own restaurant. His grandfather Ewing owned this same restaurant many years ago, and the restaurant has a nice 50's retro feel to it.
Favorite Dish: Dan's motto: Good Food Fast
Beck's Rib Eye: Not for the budget minded
I use to recommend this restaurant to everyone and had not been there in years, but recently found out it has changed hands and the name from Rib Eye to Beck's Rib Eye even though the sign outside does not state that.
I would no longer recommend this restaurant as the owner is rude to staff in front of customers and the food is expensive for what you get and is not as good as it use to be years ago.
