    The Verlot Ranger Station, just 11 miles east of town, is the entrance to the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie forest and has maps of campgrounds,reservation sites, and trails,interactive trails,public restrooms,pay showers close by,huge 'roam arround' parking & trails to river & camping.General store & eats & maildrop service available 'walking close'.
    Great 'day-roadtrip' from Seattle,Everette,Bellingham...or camping,RV weekend.!!!

    You will see incredible scenery,the Cascade Mountains, National Parks, quaint towns and enjoy diverse activities. Explore the entire Loop, or just a day’s worth!Read this !!!
    At the scattered hamlet of VERLOT (pop. 170, alt. 980 ft.) is a U.S. Forest Service Information Center where you can inquire about road and trail conditions as well as recreation activities in the area. This is also the place to pick up the National Forest pass required to legally park at trailheads and in recreation areas along the route ahead.

    This is great though...stop and rest.City parks,restaurants and services can offer that chance to refresh and replenish before you begin your Scenic Drive on the Mntn.Loop Hiwy.
