Tantalus was the son of Zeus and the king of Sipholys and that was from which this great Greek restaurant received it's name. The restaurant is tucked away in the Gilman Village area of Issaquah and has a great ambiance. Perfect for a date or a group dinner. The area of the restaurant is big enough that your not crammed in together, eating with a neighbor but intimate enough to enjoy yourself. The keep the lights dimmed as well. The food is very good as well and they have a decent enough wine selection.
Favorite Dish: I prefer the vegetarian plate, which includes my favorite moussakka. Everything that I have had there though is very good and you really cannot go wrong.

Julia's: Breakfast and Lunch
Julia's is a breakfast and lunch bistro located in the Gilman Village area of Issaquah. The food is standard fare but is fairly filling. They also have honeybaked hams to take home for the special occasions. The inside is decorated very well, with a garden theme. There are many round tables in which to sit. The staff is pretty friendly and makes you feel comfortable. The food items are a $1-2 more expensive than your average place.
Favorite Dish: I've had a few of the sandwiches as well as the breakfast items that were good but stay away from the crab cakes. They weren't cooked very well.
Jak's Grill: Ultimate Steakhouse!
Jak's is a local steakhouse that has three locations, one in Issaquah and two in Seattle (Laurelhurst and West Seattle). Local steakhouses are much better than the national chains and Jak's is above most of them. The restaurant has all your favorite cuts and you really can't go wrong with any of them. My favorite is the filet mignon. The sides are pretty good with one exception. They didn't have any ranch dressing, which I just thought was very odd. The restaurant has a bar area in which to wait in as the lines to get a table can be pretty long. The service is good though and the atmosphere is great. Can't go wrong here. Parking is street parking only and they don't take reservations.
Favorite Dish: Pretty much anything as long as you choose from the steak options. They do have other non-red meat options as well!
La Costa: Standard Mexican
La Costa is a mexican restaurant located off of Gilman in Issaquah. It's pretty standard mexican fare. The tables are nice and large to sit in. There is a bar area witha few tv's on at the time to soccer games. The food selection was pretty much anything you could wish for. Service was fine but the food wasn't that good. Pretty bland.
Favorite Dish: I had the veggie enchilada and it wasn't too good. The people with me had a variety of different plates and only one was really happy with the meal. Beer was good but who can screw up that?
