Going to Leavenworth is very exhilirating. The drive over there is beautiful. You see miles and miles of mountains and rivers that are roaring during the summer time as those snow up in the mountains are melted giving rise to the healty river. There are waterfalls along the way and beautiful wild flowers amidst those Evergreen and pine trees.
During the summer time, you will see a lot of bikers taking that long drive on a zigzaggy road leading to Leavenworth. They are sometimes in a group or in pair. The motorcycle drivers are sometimes members of a motorcycle club and you see them revving their Harley Davidson's bikes!
These motorcycles aficionados wear their uniforms and you will see them walking on the main street of Leavenworth during the summer especially in the months of July and August when the ride to Leavenworth is so gorgeousl

Peshastin is a small town just one mile outside of Leavenworth. This great town is home to Prey's Fruit Barn which is fabulous (see my restaurant tips for details). If you take the only road that goes to the top of this town you will have a great view of the mountains, orchards and vineyards below. Take a look at both my photos one shows this view and the other shows the local tavern.

This place is great. I am a kid at heart so I had fun in the corn maze, sticking my head in cutouts and getting my photo taken, eating ice cream, playing in the tepees, getting up close and personal with the turkey!!!
Check out all my photos!!! This place is a blast if you are young or old. Did I mention they carry tons of fruit and all sorts of pickled items, honeys, candies, chips, salsas, chutneys, jams, etc. etc. They have gifts, ice cream, espresso.
Great petting zoo; the turkey was roaming freely and was showing off for us!
10461 Stemm Road - Peshastin (5 mins. outside of downtown Leavenworth); it sits right on Highway 2 but the official address is Stemm Road

Locals claim this is the best farm market around. From our experience they had to be right. Tons of fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, honeys galore in every flavour, sauces, health foods, etc. An immaculate establishment that was so pristine. They had a nice seating area on the grass. Check out the photos. Very cute dog and cat were hanging about too. This is a great place to stock up on snacks if you are continuing the Cascade Loop and heading to Wenatchee or beyond.
