Favorite thing: moses lake has a lot of inlets, some of which dry up during the summer months, so if you are going to stay on the lake, make sure you go at the right time of year...

 went to visit friends in washington state... MOSES LAKE is a somewhat remote (but rapidly modernizing) little city on the other side of the mountains east of seattle (2 hours) and still at least...

 We stopped by the lake for a snack and a stretch on our way to Seattle. Not too exciting, but pleasant enough (as long as you don't look too closely at the lake).
