Seasonal Bus Service (English Camp)
While it is possible to get to English Camp by bus, it should be noted that this service is seasonal. The bus stop is located in the main parking lot, very close to the start of the trail that leads down the hill to the main clearing and the primary area of English Camp. Stops at English Camp must be arranged in advance with San Juan Transit, as the bus does not regularly make the trip from the main road down to the parking area. It is also possible to request a stop at the trail crossing at the highway.
Theoretically, you can call ahead of time and arrange your return trip, but cell phone service at English Camp can be spotty at best, and sometimes reception is from across the channel in Canada (meaning international roaming charges).
This bus route runs several days a week starting in mid-May, and runs regularly after mid-June until Labor Day.

Seasonal Bus Service (American Camp)
San Juan Transit operates seasonal bus service from Friday Harbor to several locations in American Camp. This includes the Visitor's Center, South Beach, and the very far end of Cattle Point Road. Service is hourly. At Friday Harbor the buses are located in the auto staging area for those waiting to get on the bus.
Unlike the service to English Camp, there is no service on this route in May, and service in June is only from the middle of the month onward to the end of August or Labor Day Weekend.
One-Way tickets are $5, Round Trip Tickets are $10, and All Day Tickets for all routes are $15 (2013 prices).
