For 2005 the festival will start July 2nd and continue through August 7th. The fleet arrival will be August 3rd. This year they are adding a marathon on July 10th.

Seafair is an annual summer event that started in 1950 and is now the largest festival in the Pacific Northwest. We didn't attend but had a great view of the navy ships cruising by which was part of the "Fleet Arrival." On some ships, thousand of sailors would stand around the perimeter of the outside deck in their white uniforms during arrival into port.
