Bring a hooded jacket if you don't have an umbrell

    Catching the Ferry

Luggage and bags: Always bring a jacket in Seattle because the weather here is cloudy and cold in the month of April and May. The weather in June, July, August and September is absolutely beautiful!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Comfortable walking shoes if you intend to explore downtown Seattle. Walking on the Pike Street or down below the Aquarium. There are lots of walking involved because downtown is sloping towards the ocean.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Nothing that will concern you. There are many pharmacy stores around.

    Photo Equipment: Bring your camera

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Well, RAIN has always been a factor in this city. Like they say Seattlelites don't get wet when it rains, they rust. And it rains all the time so bring a portable umbrella just in case, and a light jacket since the weather is unpredictable even in the summertime. Snow is rare downtown but a number of great ski areas, less than an hour away get lots of white stuff than any region on earth. If you like to golf, fish, whale watch, hike..this is the place.

You don't always need an umbrella in Seattle!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Make sure you have comfortable shoes and a light jacket. Seattle is right on the water and sometimes the breezes can be cool. Walking is also the best way to see most of downtown or any of the outer neighborhoods.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: These can be purchased at any drug store.

Photo Equipment: Bring your Camera! Seattle has a photo moment at every corner.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: If you enjoy camping take a short drive to the mountains and enjoy! There are several nice areas off I-90.

Miscellaneous: In August and September the weather can be amazing here. Warm and Sunny! If you come during that time of year bring sunblock and cool clothing. However, the wonderful part of Seattle is that the nights are usually very comfortable and sometimes chilly so always come prepared with a light jacket or sweater.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring a bumbershoot (umbrella) since it rains most of the winter, but be warned: an umbrella immediately marks you as an out-of-towner since real Seattlites just get wet. what are you? a wimp?

Seattle is king of unpredictable weather!

by Lilithium Written Jun 10, 2003

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: sure bring your open toed sandals but be prepared for the weather which can be sunny one minute and pouring rain the next. A pair of sneakers never hurts. I usually always keep an umbrella in my car...regardless of what the weather man says.

    Umbrellas & Raincoats

by lolitajane Written Aug 30, 2004

Luggage and bags: It depends on type of trip.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Make sure you've packed your raincoat & umbrella. I visited Seattle in November, and it rains a lot. Besides, it's too cold, so don't forget your sweaters & warm clothes.

Photo Equipment: Plenty of films, as usual ;-)

    Definitely bring an umbrella!!!

by UKDaisy Updated Mar 17, 2006

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Seattle is known for it's rain, so it's wise to pack an umbrella! In fact, Seattle even has a monument dedicated to the weather - in the shape of an umbrella blown inside out! (At Western Avenue and Lenora Street)

    Typical winter day

    Luggage and bags: Waterproof!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Since it rains 9 months (ok, I could be exagerrating...) out of the year bring umbrellas, sweatshirts, and rain jackets. The temperature is not too bad, pretty mild all year 'round.
