Harbour District, Seattle
this area is in the Alaskan way area of Seattle near the shoreline and here you will see a number of attractions like the Imax of Seattle, Seattle Aquarium, the Washington State Ferries Port, Safeco, Ivar's Clamchowders and various shopping areas. there is also a large viaduct here called the Alaskan Way Viaduct.
This is down by the waterfront, and basically is has a bunch of shops and eateries, including Ivar's. It's neat and possibly overlooked by some people visiting the city. Hehe.. however, there is one shop in particular that is famous down here... Ye Olde Curiosity Shop. It was described to me once as 'a freak show.' Basically, it is a large souveneir shop, selling all sorts of trinkets and postcards and such... but they also have displays around the store featuring shrunken heads and things of that nature. Whether they're real or not, I can't tell you... I'm not sure myself. But they sure look real! :) Anyway, for a place as touristy and tacky as this place is (apparently it's been around since 1899), both times I've spent a considerable amount of time browsing the store... incredible. I don't know how it happened!
