Seward Park is located in southeast Seattle along Lake Washington. The park is a peninsula that has trails on the interior and a 2.5 mile paved trail along the perimeter. The park is heavily used for runners as well as families as there are playgrounds as well. (The park is the midway point for the Seattle Marathon and provides good views of the runners). Seward Park is also just south of the hydro plane races that happen every August at Seafair. There is an environmental center there as well but only open in the summer. Definitely a fun place to go with families or when you feel the need to get out for a run!
Seward Park is located in southeast Seattle on a peninsula of land sticking out into Lake Washington. It has a 2.7 mile bike and walk trail around it and many trails in the woods that are actually the only old growth forest left in Seattle. Rumor has it that there is a flock of parrots that live in these woods, although I have never seen them, I know several people that have.
