    Be Careful on the Monorail

by paularoman Written Aug 14, 2007

Be careful on the Seattle Monorail. Sometimes it catches fire...like in 2004 when I was riding on it! The picture is of the aftermath.

    Monorail woes

The Seattle Monorail has a history of not working. At present the system is down and it has no anticipated date of being back in operation.

    Trolley Car, Seattle

The trolley car saves on the legs when you're travelling along the waterfront.

Unusual travel for this day and age...good fun though.

    Seattle Streetcar

The waterfront line in Seattle is exploited with vehicles that were previously used in Melbourne, Australia.

The vintage streetcars (part of the Metro) travel up and down the waterfront, from Pier 70 to Pioneer Square - and beyond.

If you're not driving, a great way to get there is by Amtrak. Especially the Coast Starlite! Even dining on the starlite is grand.
