There is nothing argentine about this place. The owner has an interest in Argentina and thus the name. This is a local joint, with a few argentine wines thrown and not even the best of its Mendoza selections. Norton mainly.
But the lady behind the bar was so friendly. She unflinchingly directed us to Vien Dong Restaurant when we said we wanted to eat viet food.

Tucked away near the riverwalk in a small strip mall which houses a brewery, a real estate agent and a fishing outfit, this thai restaurant was the best choice for my first meal in Spokane. The view is of the river and animals which looked like large squirrels were running around the yard. the decor of the place is pleasing and the chef was from Udon Thani in Thailand, whcih is reflected in her food.
the waitress was half asian something and as it is customary was eager to deny her heritage and proclaim her americanness, which takes away any charm at all. but helpful. the white drink waiter was more amenable, saying he knew a few thai words

Sushi is becoming the ethnic food of a health conscious USA. This is a very american restaurant with some concession to the japanese culture. The owner who greeted us had a japanese face weathered by snow and cigarette smoke. The waitress was amazonic in size and here sweetness was as big as her physical shape and size (comely and shapely,not obese)
