Favorite thing: Quaint small town with lots of antique and art shops, great restaurants in every price range, lots of spas including the famous Berkeley Springs State Park spa. Public pool for kids in town square a big hit with my family. Be sure to eat at Tari's restaurant, The Fairfax coffee house, and the Creekside Creamery ice cream and sandwich shop. Other restaurants have great reviews, but I haven't tried them yet. Lots of fruit stands in the area, too! Weaver's restaurant in Hancock, MD is worth a trip. They make over 500 pies a week! The surrounding county(s) is full of outdoor adventures!
Fondest memory: We are planning on moving to Berkeley Springs asap.

Favorite thing: HIKEING THROUGH THE PARK UP THE HILL TO THE HIDDEN PASSAGE TO THE CASTLE..FOR A CHILD IT IS LIKE FINDING A HIDDEN TRAIL TO A FORTRESS..HOWEVER FOR A ADULT IT IS A PATH TO A OLD HOUSE THAT IS BUILT AS A REPLICA OF A CASTLE..MUST WE GROW UP? BATHING IN THE RUN IN THE PARK THE WARM WATER WAS SO RELAXING AS A CHILD..AS A ADULT WATCHING THE CHILDREN IN THE SUMMER WADE IN THE WARM MINERAL SPRINGS REMINDS US OF WHAT IT WAS LIKE TO BE A CHILD...IF WE COULD ONLY GO BACK....
Fondest memory: AS A CHILD WADEING IN THE MINERAL SPRINGS IN THE PARK...PLAYING WITH ALL MY CHILDHOOD FRIENDS AND NOW HUSBAND...I COULD HAVE NEVER IMAGINED...ALSO PLAYING IN THE WOODS BEHIND THE PARK AND FINDING THE PASSAGE TO THE CASTLE. OH HOW I PRETENDED I WAS A PRINCESS TRYING TO GET BACK HOME...IT IS STILL THERE...
