    Woodmere Memorial Park

by davecallahan Updated Nov 9, 2007

Take a few minutes out of your busy vacation schedule in Huntington to visit the Woodmere Memorial Park. There is a beautiful stone monument there in honor of all the fallen soldiers who died during the Viet Nam Conflict. It was built in 1970 by the parks authority.

    to get there:
I-64 exit 11 and go northwest on route 10 (16th Street Road) all the way up to Charleston Avenue. go east on Charleston and connect to Norway Avenue and go east on Norway back to the park.
(there are other shorter routes but they involve a lot of jig-jogging on lots of side streets).
