There's really only one grocery store in Davis, and while it is significantly better than the one it replaced (affectionately called Moscow Market by locals), it's still pretty small. If you're coming up to Davis or Canaan Valley for a week or so, I recommend bringing supplies in from the outside.

Skied for three days at Timberline. This resort has a 1,000 foot verticle and some really nice runs. It only has three chair lifts so it can get a bit crowded. On the other hand, the it limits the number of people on the slope.
The lodge is small and is a regular old day-lodge and on days with inclement weather can get very crowded. We had small kids and were staying in nearby condominums. Without the condos, we would have had a horrible experience as there was simply no place for them to get out of the cold and warm up in the lodge.
Equipment: Bring your own. There's very little other than the shop in the lodge.
